• Artfarm Recording Studio is located in the Hudson Valley of New York, about two hours north of New York City on 18 acres of farmland and woods. Plenty of wildlife and a couple of rescue horses wander around.

  • Yes, bands often stay here for days and weeks at a time. We can comfortably accommodate 8, but can squeeze 12 or more.

  • With a great sounding live room, Artfarm works well for all kinds of music. We have recorded heavy rock, soft pop, singer-songwriter, kirtan, singing bowls, poetry and recently a gamelan. Drums sound huge and acoustic instruments benefit from the room’s warmth.

  • Mostly bands take over the kitchen and cook for themselves. There is pizza, chinese, sandwiches as well as decent sit-down options, though they are all 20 minutes away at least.

  • Yes, we have a 12 channel system with 4 stations, so everyone in the band can hear what facilitates their best performance.

  • Artfarm recording has a number of in-house musicians to help make your ideas a reality. We can help you with arrangement and style choice for any kind of music. Besides cats with years under their belt, we have a crew of youngin’s kicking out beats. We would love to hear your ideas.

  • Yes, we can record social media clips and complete performances to 4k video with multiple cameras. See the video recording page to learn about what we can offer. There are a few videos at the bottom of our home page (click the mic icon), and many more on youtube. The Fretless performance became a Juno winning album!

  • Yes, Artfarm Recording has a 5.1 or 7.1 system that we set up in the live room. There is a 6’ glass impregnated screen if you want to project the video. The large room makes it easy to understand what your mix will sound like in a theater.

  • Independent artists, bands, producers, and songwriters looking for immersive recording experiences. You can see a brief list on the studio page.
